Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated a “Cultural Festival” in the state from Kainchi Dham on Sunday, and asked people to join the campaign by running a cleanliness drive in Kainchi Dham and Ghorakhal temples.
Dhami started the campaign by cleaning Ram Shila in Kainchi Dham and offered prayers. He also participated in the Ram Bhajan organised in the Kainchi Dham temple complex. Earlier in the day, he offered prayers to Neem Karori Baba at Kainchi Dham and wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity of the state. Besides, feedback was also taken from people coming from different states about the functioning of the government. Appreciating the work of paryavaran mitras involved in the cleanliness drive, Dhami interacted with them, while honouring schoolchildren, self-help groups, village heads, and paryavaran mitras with citations.
He also informed that the number of devotees coming to Kainchi Dham is increasing every day and his government is preparing a master plan of Kainchi Dham after assessing the number of devotees coming here. The Kainchi Dham master plan will ensure better facilities for devotees.
Talking about the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Dhami said that January 22 will be a historic day. “On this day, Ram Lalla will be seated in Ayodhya at an auspicious time, which is an auspicious time and sign for our country. After years of waiting, Ram Lalla will be sitting in Ayodhya. On this occasion, the state government is organising cultural festivals and special cleanliness campaigns at all religious and tourist places in the state with public participation,” he said.
The Uttarakhand government has announced a dry day on January 22.
In a grand Ramotsav event organised in Haldwani on Saturday, Dhami highlighted the unbroken connection between Lord Ram and Uttarakhand. He emphasised the significance of Lord Ram in the state’s cultural and spiritual fabric.
