Rio Tinto CEO Jakob Stausholm discusses how the company’s long-awaited Simandou iron ore project is “good for the planet”.
This week Rio Tinto greenlighted its $20 billion investment in the iron ore deposit located in Guinea.
Mr Stausholm told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood that Simandou is “probably the highest-grade iron ore on the planet”.
“It’s good for the environment to extract it,” he said.
“It’s complimentary to our high grade in the Pilbara.”
