Serving member of armed forces, 36, is charged with breaking Official Secrets and techniques Act after Met counter-terror investigation

Newsome, who’s a serving member of the UK’s Armed Forces, was initially arrested and detained below PACE on Tuesday April 18.
A warrant of additional detention was obtained from Westminster Magistrates’ Courtroom on April 20, permitting police to detain him till April 22.
He was subsequently charged late on Friday April 21 with offences opposite to part 2 and part 8 of the Official Secrets and techniques Act, 1989.
He has been remanded in police custody and is because of seem at Westminster Magistrates’ Courtroom on Saturday April 22.
