The Pune City police on Friday arrested the man, who allegedly murdered a 21-year-old BBA student following a dispute in their relationship.
Police said the deceased was a student pursuing a BBA course at a college in Wagholi and resided in a hostel in Wadebolai area.

According to the FIR lodged at the Lonikand police station, the accused attacked the BBA student with a sharp machete at an open space next to a residential society on Bakori Road in Wagholi around 2pm on November 28.
According to police, after the attack, a passerby crossing the area found the victim bleeding profusely. Before losing consciousness, the student told the witness the name of the accused and that the attack was a fallout of their relationship. The student died on the way to the hospital.
Senior police inspector Vishwajeet Kaingade confirmed that the accused has been arrested.
“Following a rigorous search operation for three days, a team led by assistant police inspector Ravindra Godse arrested the accused from the toll post in Daund,” said Kaingade. Police said the accused worked as a tradesman at a construction site.
