A stabbing in a St-Michel apartment on Saturday night left a man seriously injured.

A 911 call made around 10:40 p.m. alerted authorities to the incident on Charland Ave., near Iberville St.

“When they arrived on the scene, officers found a 55-year-old man who had been stabbed at least once in the upper body,” Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
He was transported to a hospital, where his condition was initially deemed critical. By Sunday morning, he was declared “out of danger.”
A conflict in the apartment degenerated to the point where a suspect stabbed the man, Brabant said.
After collecting information from witnesses, a 51-year-old man was arrested. Investigators will meet with him on Sunday.
