Woke up this morning to grab a coffee — shot of espresso because I need it in my veins — to find the entire exterior of my car cocooned in a thin layer of ice. Must have been all that freezing rain we got overnight, or “freezing drizzle” as it’s being described in today’s forecast. I suppose this is what April is for, giving us some rain so we may be able to grow May flowers in our backyards or stave off catastrophic wildfire and drought conditions.

Forecasters are calling for a small, 30 per cent, chance of rain pretty much all day today and into tomorrow morning. But, things start to warm back up again as forecast highs return to double-digits all next week. Sunshine and 15 C Monday should take care of any lingering snow that may remain on the ground. Maybe no more snow now? Over it.
