There shall be celebrations this week throughout the UK to mark the seventy fifth anniversary of the Empire Windrush arriving at Tilbury docks.
However some worry the commemorations may replicate a sanitised model of the experiences of those that got here from the Caribbean to dwell and work right here.
We spoke to 80-year-old Arthur Torrington, who co-founded the Windrush Basis nearly 30 years in the past in a bid to counter discrimination, and stays firmly dedicated to the battle for equality and social cohesion.
