All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Arif Jamal was allegedly shot dead by unknown persons in Bihar’s Siwan district on Saturday.
The leader was rushed to a hospital after he was shot but died during treatment. Police are investigating the incident and trying to ascertain the reason behind it.
Arif Jamal was AIMIM’s District President in Siwan.
Earlier in 2021, AIMIM’s Asad Khan was hacked to death on a busy road in broad daylight in Hyderabad. Police said Asad Khan had a criminal past and suspected his murder is a case of “revenge killing”.
