You’ve got eyes like an apex predator if you can spot the hare in 20 seconds or less | Weird | News

Puzzles are a great way to keep the brain active, which is important to ward off diseases like dementia.

Here you can test your skills and see if you’d have survived as a hunter in prehistoric times.

Have a look at the picture below – if you can spot the hare in under a minute, you’d have probably fit in well with your ancestors.

Scientists suspect that humans probably hunted hares regularly in order to get their protein intake.

Hares are excellent sources of B12 and niacin, which are important for growth, healthy skin, hair, nerves and muscles.

In this tricky brain teaser, there is a field with a hill in the middle of it.

There’s a lot of grass and open terrain – perfect for hunters to spot their prey. But as humans have evolved to sit behind desks, our eyes might not be quite as sharp as they once were.

Set a timer and let us know if you found the hare within 20 seconds.

You can check for the answer at the bottom of this page, but if you’re just after a tip, then maybe look towards the left of the picture!

Nowadays, you probably don’t need to go hunting for hares.

Nevertheless, hunters were both male and female back in the day. They made weapons and threw rocks to kill their prey.

Humans were also feared because of their relentless running abilities – most animals had the speed, but certainly not the stamina to outrun their human competitors.

Eyesight was hugely important for survival, as prey could blend into the background to avoid being hunted. Test your eyesight in this other brain teaser, where a baby panda was spotted hiding among a crowd of humans.
