Wrestler Bajrang Punia Urges People To Reach Delhi After Violence At Protest Site

Bajrang Punia exhorted the farmers and most people to achieve Jantar Mantar of their help.

New Delhi:

Shocked and appalled by the boorish behaviour of the Delhi Police in the direction of protesting wrestlers late Thursday night, an emotionally distraught Vinesh Phogat stated they weren’t criminals and didn’t deserve such disrespect.

The wrestlers are sitting on protest since April 23, demanding the arrest of WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh alleging that he has sexually harassed seven feminine grapplers, together with one minor.

Round 11 pm, a scuffle broke out at Jantar Mantar between the protesting wrestlers once they had been bringing in folding beds for his or her night time keep and the on-duty police personnel allegedly started enquiring about that.

In response to the wrestlers, the law enforcement officials began behaving badly with them and even abused the ladies wrestlers.

“If you wish to kill us, then kill us,” a crying Vinesh Phogat stated throughout a late-night media interplay.

“Did we win medals for the nation to see this present day? We now have not even eaten our meals. Does each man have a proper to abuse ladies? These policemen are holding weapons, they’ll kill us,” an emotionally drained Vinesh stated.

“The place had been feminine law enforcement officials? How can the male officers push us like that. We aren’t criminals. We don’t deserve such therapy. The police officer who was drunk hit my brother,” the World Championship medallist stated.

Bajrang Punia exhorted the farmers and most people to achieve Jantar Mantar of their help.

“I request everybody to achieve Delhi by morning. That is the time. If not now, then when. This can be a query of the dignity of our daughters. Individuals like Brij Bhushan (WFI President) are roaming free regardless of being a legal and all that is occurring to us,” Bajrang stated.

Requested to provide extra particulars, Bajrang stated, “CCTV cameras have to be right here. Footage will make it clear.” Requested particularly if AAP chief Somnath Bharti had introduced the folding beds, as being claimed by the Delhi Police, Bajrang stated,”CCTV footage can present he was not there when it occurred. We had ordered the beds, we had been bringing the beds inside.”
