A lady was rescued and airlifted on Saturday morning, 29 April, after falling on the mountaineering path to Tugela Falls.
The Mountain Rescue Companies dispatched their ER24 providers who arrived on the Royal Natal Nationwide Park at 8:30.
ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell informed News24 that the 37-year-old lady ‘had a suspected femur fracture after slipping within the moist circumstances. She was airlifted from the mountain by a rescue helicopter to the ready ambulances on the Nationwide Park.’ Additional evaluation revealed that she additionally suffered a dislocated ankle.
She was transported to and handled for her accidents at a personal hospital in Harrismith.
