Wilhelmsen Ship Management has sealed a deal with London-based small-scale liquified natural gas carrier owner Avenir LNG to manage three of its bunker ships.
The Singapore-based shipmanager, with a portfolio of more than 450 vessels, has taken on the 2022-built 20,000 cu m Avenir Achievement and the 7,500 cu m duo Avenir Aspiration and Avenir Ascension, built in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Avenir is a new client to Wilhelmsen, and Carl Schou, CEO and president of Wilhelmsen Ship Management said the company is “excited about the opportunities this collaboration will bring and the value it will deliver to both parties”.
The ships were previously managed by Hoegh LNG, one of three blue-chip shareholders in the five-ship-strong Avenir LNG, alongside Stolt Nielsen and Golar LNG.
