China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is busy this week, with the China-South Asia Expo in Kunming providing a chance to expand China’s diplomatic outreach to Southeast Asian countries. As tensions simmer between China and other regional powers, Wang pursued meetings on the sidelines of the Expo and elsewhere.

VIETNAM: Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said Hanoi will pursue high-level cooperation with China, including in promoting peace and stability in the South China Sea. This follows a meeting with Wang in Kunming. Tran said Vietnam’s relationship with China is its top foreign policy priority. (CGTN)
