Violent clashes and stone pelting between two teams had been reported in Maharashtra’s Akola on Saturday evening, prompting the police to clamp prohibitory orders beneath Part 144 of CrPc. One individual was killed and eight others, together with two cops, had been injured within the clashes and a heavy police power needed to be deployed within the space to revive legislation and order, police stated. The clashes erupted within the Outdated Metropolis police station space of Akola. “One individual was killed and eight others had been injured. These injured included two policemen who had been harm when the rioters pelted stones,” Akola SP Sandeep Ghuge stated.
