On Thursday, ProPublica dropped a significant new story about Clarence Thomas’ relationship with Texas conservative megadonor Harlan Crow. Along with inviting the Supreme Courtroom justice on costly holidays on his superyacht, shopping for Thomas’ mom’s home, and letting her reside there rent-free, Crow additionally spent roughly $100,000 on private-school tuition for Thomas’ nice nephew-for whom the justice and his spouse, Ginni, served as authorized guardians.
