Someone, somewhere in Canada will wake up $68 million richer after Wednesday night’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

The $68 million is for the Lotto 6/49 gold ball jackpot — which has hit the maximum prize for the first time.
Because of the size of the guaranteed jackpot, the B.C. Lottery Corporation said it expects ticket sales to jump by approximately 20 per cent from other major jackpots this year.

The gold ball has a special draw separate from the classic draw. It starts with 30 balls — 29 white balls and one gold ball.
If the gold ball gets drawn, the winner gets $10 million. If a white ball is drawn, a $1 million prize is won and the jackpot grows by $2 million for the next draw as the white ball is taken out of the running.
The jackpot keeps growing until the gold ball is drawn.
For Wednesday’s draw, all 29 white balls had been taken out of the hopper, leaving the single gold ball as the final draw in the sequence, meaning there will be a guaranteed jackpot winner.
The winning numbers for Lotto 6/49 are drawn Wednesday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. PT.
For Wednesday’s draw, the winning gold ball numbers are: 50755138-03.
The winning numbers for the classic draw are: 09 17 25 30 38 48. The bonus number is 35.
The odds to win the classic draw are 1 in 13,983,816, but the odds to win the gold ball draw is based on the total number of draw numbers issued, which isn’t known until after the draw takes place.
In the event of any discrepancy between this list and the official winning numbers, the latter shall prevail.
