Priceless P.K. Subban has let loose with another rant about the Edmonton Oilers, this one with some half-truths, but also one big hard truth. Subban riled up Oil Country last week by making two claims, first that the Oilers are still a one-man team dependent on Connor McDavid. “I think McDavid has been unbelievable. I think that Edmonton has benefitted from his play.” Second, that the Oilers remain a weak defensive squad. “Too easy to play against in their own zone,” as Subban put it. Subban is now at it again, speaking out on Tuesday before Edmonton beat Columbus 4-1 to extend its winning streak to 14 games. But Subban remains unimpressed, it’s fair to say. Subban: “In 13 games, this team scored 52 goals, 17 of those are by depth players, the rest of them are buy the usual suspects.”Â
