Tourists were left stunned after a juvenile humpback whale passed beneath their boat in what appeared to be a very shallow part of the bay.
The video was shared to coralbayeco’s Instagram with the caption reading: “Coral Bay has been wild recently”
The footage shows the whale approaching the boat in shallow, crystal-clear waters, and the tourists on the boat gasping in the background.
A few concerns were raised in the comments from people asking if the small whale was lost as it wasn’t with its mother.
Coralbayeco responded and clarified that the humpback whale was a “juvenile, not a newborn or yearling.”
