The case dates again to March 31, 2022 when Burnaby RCMP have been notified a person had grabbed the buttocks of a girl at Metrotown Mall and fled.
Inside two days, police have been alerted to 2 different related assaults and on April 3 three Metrotown safety guards detained McCorriston after he tried to rob an aged couple at a financial institution within the Metrotown space.
Burnaby RCMP’s excessive threat offender unit, the Vancouver Police Division and Metro Vancouver Transit Police investigated and located McCorriston was linked to related assaults in Vancouver.
On June 7, 2022 McCorriston was charged with seven counts of sexual assault, two counts of theft, one in all assault and one in all performing an indecent act — to which he pleaded responsible.
