Moscow seems to have misplaced 4 army plane in downings on Saturday within the Bryansk area of Russia, some 50 kilometers northeast of the border with Ukraine.

Two Mi-8 army helicopters and two fighter jets — an Su-34 and an Su-35 — suffered crashes on Saturday, in keeping with reviews by Russian state media and pro-Kremlin bloggers. All crew members of the plane died, in keeping with the reviews.

“Two Mi-8s, one Su-34, and one Su-25 have been misplaced. Tragedy,” Russian propagandist Andrei Rudenko reported. “They have been hit close to the border of the Russian Federation and probably with air-to-air missiles,” he stated. The reason for the downings couldn’t be confirmed.

Russian authorities confirmed just one plane downing, of an Mi-8 helicopter close to the village of Klintsy within the Bryansk area, and didn’t give a trigger for the crash. Russian media outlet Readovka reported that the plane have been shot down from the Chernihiv area in northern Ukraine.

Quite a few movies posted to social media seem to point out the burning stays of an Su jet and an Mi helicopter. POLITICO couldn’t independently confirm the movies.

Kyiv has not claimed accountability for downing any of the helicopters or jets.

Russian media outlet Mash reported that Moscow has launched a hunt for “saboteurs” in reference to the plane downings. “Based on our data, authorities are on the lookout for saboteurs who could also be concerned within the assault on the Mi-8 and Su-34,” Mash stated.

One civilian was reported wounded and 5 residential buildings have been broken on account of one of many helicopter crashes.

Ukrainian Air Protection Forces spokesman Yuriy Ignat refused to verify or deny data relating to the plane downings. “In fact, I gained’t inform you something,” Ignat informed POLITICO.

Russian media web site Kommerstant reported that every one 4 plane that crashed on Saturday have been a part of a gaggle heading to bomb the Chernihiv area in northern Ukraine.
