Roz Purcell and Emma Power were forced to cut their RTÉ 2FM show short today following an issue with the air conditioning system on campus.
Purcell told her followers on Instagram that the pair had to come off air this afternoon due to “fumes in studio”.
“Sorry to all our listeners, we love spending time with ye. Raging, it was such a fun show and last hour was gonna be great,” she said.
The Hike Life founder and former model hosts the show alongside long-term 2FM presenter Emma Power from 12pm to 3pm every Saturday and Sunday.
The three hour slot consists of music, special guests and giveaways.
A spokesperson for RTÉ said: “A routine test of back-up power generators on the main campus today affected the air conditioning system in some studios within the nearby radio centre for a short time this afternoon. The issue has since been resolved.”
Power also shared a message with followers today and said the pair “can’t wait” to be back on air next weekend.
“We had to come off air early today due to some fumes getting into the studio,” she said.
“Everything’s ok and it’s being sorted out right now but we wanted to let you know as we love doing the show and hated having to finish early. We can’t wait to be back with you next weekend from 12-3.”
