Meghan Markle should relinquish her royal title if she wants to restart her lifestyle blog The Tig and use it to promote products, according to a royal expert.
Meghan and Prince Harry quit royal life and moved to California in 2020, yet they are still known formally as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, even as they have distanced themselves from the Firm.
It has been speculated that Meghan could relaunch her blog The Tig, which she ran from 2014-2017 while she starred as Rachel Zane in Suits, as a way to boost her public profile and generate more income.
She could take inspiration from pal Gwyneth Paltrow, whose lifestyle brand Goop is now a multi-million dollar empire, however Ingrid Seward believes that if she does she must give up her royal title.
She told Vanessa Feltz on TalkTV: “Maybe I’m a bit old fashioned but I really don’t think a duchess who is married to the King’s son should be going around promoting goods. I mean, everything she wears she’s been given and she expects that and working princesses and duchesses would never do that.”
