The river Dodder is now clear after Monday night time’s thunderstorm precipitated a manhole to blow.
An area stated that there was “poo” and “bathroom roll” in every single place.
Cllr Brian Lawlor has shared the excellent news that the “discharge from the foul line into River Dodder at Firhouse has ceased.”
The Firhouse – Bohernabreena consultant advised Unbiased.ie: “There have been big piles of water final night time you wouldn’t consider it.
“It was because of the quantity of rainfall final night time; the system couldn’t take it. Coming down off the hill at Ballycullen and Firhouse, a manhole cowl got here off with the surplus water. There was an enormous quantity of water that washed into the Weir.
“It lasted from about 7.00pm till 9.00pm Monday night time.”
