COMMUNITIES on Reddit are going darkish for the subsequent two days in protest of a pricey rule change.

Though Twitter stamped a $5,000 (£3,970) price ticket on the month-to-month subscription for its API Professional plan.

Nevertheless, the makers of the favored third-party app Apollo have claimed they’d be charged greater than $20m (£15.9m) a 12 months at their present charge of API utilization, in accordance with Sky Information.

“The value [Reddit] gave was $0.24 for 1,000 API calls,” stated a put up on Apollo’s personal subreddit.
