In a heartfelt post on X, PM Modi expressed his deep sense of privilege, saying, “I feel very blessed. It is my good fortune that in my lifetime, I will witness this historic occasion.”

He further shared, “Today is a day full of emotions. Recently, the officials of Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra had come to meet me at my residence. They invited me to come to Ayodhya on the occasion of the consecration of the Shri Ram temple,” PM Modi conveyed in Hindi, along with a photo featuring the temple trust’s functionaries.

The Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, led by Champat Rai, has officially confirmed that the installation of the Lord Ram idol will take place at the temple on January 22. Prime Minister Modi has graciously accepted the trust’s invitation.

The trust is planning to extend invitations to over 25,000 Hindu religious leaders representing 136 Sanatana traditions for the consecration ceremony. Additionally, there will be an assembly of 10,000 “special guests” alongside the 25,000 saints who are expected to participate in this historic event.

The Supreme Court, in a landmark verdict in November 2019, cleared the path for the construction of the Ram temple. Subsequently, the central government established the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra to oversee key decisions during the construction phase.

The construction work on the temple has been advancing steadily under the diligent supervision of the trust. The sacred idol of Ram Lalla will find its home in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.

Notably, the foundation stone for the temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020, marking the initiation of this significant project.

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which serves as the ideological mentor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), encouraged people across the country to organize special programs at temples in celebration of this momentous occasion.

In preparation for the inauguration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to beautify Ayodhya and provide modern urban amenities, ensuring a grand and fitting setting for the event.
