Amidst the recent declaration by the Congress Party that Rahul Gandhi will be participating in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, the speculation surrounding Priyanka Gandhi’s potential candidacy in Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi’s constituency, continues to circulate.

In response to these speculations, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi commented, “If the numbers demonstrate that Priyanka Gandhi can contest and win the Lok Sabha election from Varanasi, she will be fielded there…”

Regarding the seat sharing strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024 within the INDIA bloc, Chaturvedi emphasized that decisions will be made after thorough discussions to determine the best-suited candidates for each constituency.

Chaturvedi explained, “The INDIA alliance is actively engaged in discussions… We will assess the most appropriate candidates for each seat. In due course, we will announce who will be contesting from which constituency.”

Shifting focus to PM Modi, the Shiv Sena (UBT) took a satirical tone, suggesting that the Prime Minister’s repeated attacks on the alliance, from the Parliament to the Red Fort, indicate his discomfort and potential insecurity.

Opposition parties have convened to devise a cohesive strategy to present a united front against the BJP in the lead-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Notably, the INDIA alliance, comprising 26 opposition parties, including the Congress, has come together with the aim of challenging the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by PM Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Their objective is to prevent the BJP from securing a third consecutive term in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The inception of this alliance began with a meeting in Patna, Bihar, on June 23, followed by a subsequent gathering in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on July 17-18.
