Manipur’s situation has become one of great concern, with the clash between the kukis and the Meiteis leading to various casualties and thousands being forced to flee their homes. It is unacceptable for a region in India to be plugged into a civil war like situation, and action must be taken to restore peace and stability.

It is therefore critical that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives a statement in Parliament on the current situation. As the leader of the House and the head of the central government, it is his responsibility to clam the nation that steps are being taken to resolve the conflict in Manipur.

As a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I take full responsibility for the events that have reveal in Manipur.

We have taken several steps to address the root cause of the violence. We are attractive in dialogues with all stakeholders, including community leaders, civil society groups, and political parties, to find a sustainable solution to the issues faced by the people of Manipur.

Additionally, we are deploying additional security forces to maintain law and order in the state. We can understand that it will take a little time to slove this situation, but we remain committed to the safety and well-being of our citizens.

The Supreme Court’s recent remarks regarding the Manipur situation have sent shockwaves through the nation. With such a prominent judicial body expressing its deep concern, it’s clear that action needs to be taken immediately. But instead of seeing any real progress, we’re witnessing the frustrating spectacle of our elected officials bickering over who said what.

Parliament, once again, has become a platform for petty political squabbles. Days have passed with no discussion on the crisis in Manipur. And all the while, the government and the opposition have entrenched themselves in a war of words over the Prime Minister’s role.

The halls of Parliament were filled with tension as the Opposition INDIA and the government both dug in their heels on the issue of PM Modi making a statement. The Congress-led Opposition was adamant about their demand for the PM to address Parliament on the issue at hand. However, despite all the noise and chaos of the protests, the BJP remained steadfast in their resolve to protect their leader from being put in a vulnerable position.

As the situation continued to expand, it was clear that something required to be done to break the stalemate. A sudden idea sparked in the mind of one of the members of the Opposition, and before long, it spread like wildfire amongst their ranks.

A group of MPs from the Opposition decided to travel to Manipur and hold a peaceful protest outside the PM’s residence. They hoped to send a strong message to the BJP that they wouldn’t be silenced or deterred from seeking the truth.

The opposition is eagerly waiting to pounce on the government, like a predator on its prey. They are ready to tear into Modi and the BJP, demanding answers and accountability. It is only a matter of time before they get the PM to speak on Manipur.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world is watching with horror as India’s reputation is hurt once again. The US State Department has expressed deep concern over the videos that went viral, showing the brutal rape and humiliation of two innocent women. It is a tragedy that such shocking acts still occur in this day and age.

The European Parliament’s resolution on India’s internal affairs, the BJP stands firm in its stance that Home Minister Amit Shah is fully capable of addressing the Parliament on the Manipur issue. The BJP asserts that the divisive policies promoting Hindu majoritarianism do not reflect the views of the majority of India, and condemn any interference in our internal affairs.

Despite repeated pleas by the BJP, the Opposition has continued to back out of discussions on the issue in Parliament. Home Minister Amit Shah has demonstrated his eagerness to speak on the matter and ensure that the government’s stance is heard, but the Opposition seems determined to obstruct any meaningful dialogue.

As tensions continued to mount in Manipur, the Opposition parties saw a golden opportunity to strike at the government. The leading parties like Congress, DMK, JD(U) TMC, Aam Aadmi party left, and RJD all demanding that the Prime minister should speak in Parliament, it was crystal clear that the pressure was building up on the ruling party.

And then came the move that sent shockwaves through the political establishment. The Opposition parties, fully aware that they did not have the required numbers, decided to file a No Confidence motion against the government.
