5 meerkats that died at Philadephia Zoo are believed to have been poisoned accidentally.
Stories counsel the animals – named Nkosi, Lula, Nya, Kgala, and Ari – had been poisoned by a dye used to mark them. It got here a decade after the meerkats arrived on the zoo.
Zoo vp Rachel Metz stated the ability makes use of the dye to differntiate between the animals, experiences Fox Information. The zoo has reportedly used the identical dye for 30 years with out a problem.
