No New Members Will be Added to the BRICS Bank, Says CFO

[ad_1]

While the BRICS group itself will become larger at the conclusion of the ongoing leaders summit underway in Johannesburg, that is not the case for the bloc’s bank known as the New Development Bank.

“There will be no announcements this week,” said CFO Lesli Maasdorp in response to a question about whether new members would be announced this week. He did say, though, that it was “likely” that several countries would apply to join before the end of the year.
