Indigenous Olympian and former Senator Nova Peris says the No campaign mantra of ‘if you don’t know, vote No’ makes Australians “ignorant” about the Voice to Parliament.
The idea behind the saying “if you don’t know, vote No” is designed to expose the lack of detail presented for the Voice to Parliament and is a slogan prominently pushed by Liberal Senator Michaelia Cash.
“There is enough information out there for you to inform yourself and to understand that this is a good thing for the whole country,” Ms Peris told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“Marcia Langton is an outstanding Aboriginal woman and an Australian.
“This is part of her legacy, and I support Marcia wholeheartedly with a hand on my heart.”
