A LUCKY punter won DOUBLE his money in the Postcode Lottery by using one simple tactic – here’s how he will splash the cash.

Darren, from Plymouth, scooped the extra winnings in the Millionaire Street prize draw, which saw a whopping £1million shared between eight other locals.

The ex-armed forces sergeant bagged himself a life-changing £200,000, while the other winners were handed £100,000.

Darren scooped the bonus £100K after simply buying two lottery tickets, rather than one, for the PL6 7EA draw.

Overjoyed with his eye-watering prize, he told the People’s Postcode Lottery: “I’ll definitely take my two sons on a boys’ holiday to Benidorm.”

His wife Justine, a nursery practitioner, added: “I want to go to New York.

“I’m just a bit shocked because things like this never happens to us.

“But we’re happy.”

The dad-of-two’s big win came as his fellow ex-army neighbours also pocketed huge jackpots.

“It’s a military community as well as a civilian one,” said Darren.

“We’re all part of the one street, but it’s great that so many military personnel have won.”

Tracy Arnott, 52, is one of the eight Plymouth neighbours celebrating.

But, she may not have hit her share of the jackpot if it wasn’t for a lucky coincidence.

The former leading hand in the Royal Navy, revealed she only bagged the prize because of a delayed house move.

The mum-of-one and her husband Mark Roddis, 55, moved away from the street a week before but forgot to change their address on the tickets.

This comes as a group of lucky Brits bagged themselves £3.2million on the People’s Postcode Lottery have revealed how they’ll splash the cash.

The huge prize was won by more than 1,000 locals on a Greater Manchester estate.

Another fortunate resident scooped an entire £388k Postcode Lottery prize due to a quirk.

The winner from Runcorn in Cheshire, was only the person playing in the WA7 2YN post code, meaning they kept the jackpot for themselves.

Meanwhile, a former nurse won £400,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery – but her sister who lives just downstairs got nothing.

To play the People’s Postcode Lottery, you have to sign up on the website and enter your bank details.

You’re then automatically entered into a variety of different draws and prizes are announced every day.
