A fire has broken out at a building in Moorgate, in the City of London, which has forced the closure of a Tube station.
Footage shared on social media shows office workers pouring out onto the streets of Moorgate and the Barbican after the alarm was raised.
Thick, black smoke can be seen billowing above the glass skyscrapers from miles away.
Moorgate Station, which is on the Northern Line, has been shut and a number of roads were also cordoned off to traffic.

Meanwhile, several buildings around Moor Lane, Moorfields and the station have been emptied as a precaution.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB)said around 1,200 people were evacuated in the area, adding that there are no reports of any injuries.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were deployed to the scene earlier to tackle the flames.
Eyewitnesses claim the source of the fire appears to be the western end of Tenter House, next to City Point and the new Deutsche Bank building, but this remains unconfirmed.
Sarah Gaventa, who lives in the Barbican, shared the view from her balcony that showed the sky above her almost filled with smoke.

LFB said the fire happened in a disused office block, adding that it is now under control.
The plant room on the tenth floor, in a building of 11 floors, was destroyed by fire.
