Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has ordered five LNG-fuelled newcastlemaxes, split between Nihon Shipyard on home soil and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding in China.
The vessels are slated for delivery from 2026 to 2027. Including these five vessels, MOL will add a total of 13 LNG-fuelled capesize bulkers in its fleet.
No price has been revealed for these latest ships.
