Weeks after a 26-year-old lady died by suicide in Borivali (East), police on Wednesday arrested one individual for allegedly extorting a lady and abetting her suicide.
On April 3, the girl had allegedly ended her life by hanging at her house.
The Kasturba Marg police lodged a case when her household filed a criticism three weeks later after discovering that she was being harassed and extorted. The accused was recognized as Sunny Arjun Kushalkar, who threatened her to inform everybody about his relationship along with her and demanded cash from her. “He had demanded Rs 10,000 from her and was blackmailing her,” the elder sister of the deceased lady acknowledged in her assertion to the police.
“He had even as soon as informed her to commit suicide,” stated the girl’s elder sister, who can also be the complainant within the case.
