Penrith coach Ivan Cleary is … not happy.
He’s barely said any full sentences in his press conference, leaving captain Isaah Yeo to do most of the talking.
Yeo says the made it hard on themselves with silly mistakes on both sides of the ball, chiefly his sin-binning, which precipitated two Warriors tries.
“Just stupidity. I’m supposed to be a leader,” Yeo says.
“Individually and collectively we just weren’t good enough.”
Cleary is asked what happened out there…
“We didn’t play well enough. [It was] a collection of lots of things.”
Asked to expand on those things, he replies: “No.”
Cleary doesn’t want to talk about the charges against centre Taylan May and whether they affected the team.
“Nah, don’t think so. [We] just got on with life.”
