Leeds United sit firmly in the Championship promotion race after a really impressive last quarter of the season, with a place in the Premier League very much still in their sights.
Daniel Farke and his side have the sole ambition of gaining promotion back to the top flight this term, and in order to do so, they’ll be hoping to avoid further injuries.
The treatment table at Thorp Arch has been pretty busy over the last few months, but the squad is in decent shape now as we head into a crunch period of the season.
Football FanCast keeps you up to date with all the latest Leeds news involving injuries and suspensions ahead of their clash with Stoke City tomorrow.
Latest Leeds injury news
Farke is set to be without four players for the midweek clash with Stoke, but this could extend to five.
Stuart Dallas continues to recover from a long-term injury sustained over 18 months ago. The 32-year-old is recovering from a femoral fracture that required three surgeries.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Karl Darlow has recovered from injury and should be available in the matchday squad.
Pascal Struijk got no mention but previous updates suggested he was maybe a week or so away. Meanwhile, the likes of Jamie Shackleton and Jaidon Anthony will both be out for different reasons.
Also, Junior Firpo faces a late call after struggling with calf problems.

Jaidon Anthony – personal reasons
Jaidon Anthony is set to sit out the midweek clash due to personal reasons.
Daniel Farke had this to say on the matter:
“We’ll be without Jaidon Anthony due to private reasons.”
Pascal Struijk – groin
Pascal Struijk has been out since Boxing Day and won’t appear in a Leeds shirt until what will now be mid-March possibly.
Farke provided an update on the situation a couple of weeks, stating that he’s still at least a couple of weeks away.
He stated:
“Positive, he’s allowed to extend his training load. The doctors mentioned over 2-2.5 weeks we have to build him up a bit. If everything works in the perfect way, he can be back in team training, then available for games after the international break.”
He wasn’t directly mentioned in the press conference, so it remains to be see as to what stage he’s at.
Jamie Shackleton – concussion
Jamie Shackleton has been unable to train fro Leeds under the concussion protocol so he’s set to miss this midweek clash, as well as this weekend’s fixture against Sheffield Wednesday.
Farke had this to say in his press conference:
“Overall all the other players should be available except Jamie Shackleton, his symptoms were like a concussion. He’ll miss [Stoke] and at the weekend at Sheffield [Wednesday]. Can’t train under concussion protocols”
Junior Firpo – calf problems
Junior Firpo has been struggling with calf problems after the Whites last clash with Huddersfield, so he’s set for a late test to see whether he can be deemed fit to face the Potters.
Daniel Farke provided this update earlier on today:
“A little question mark behind Junior Firpo, he had calf problems after the last game. A late call with him.”
Stuart Dallas – leg
Stuart Dallas’ situation at Leeds remains a mystery as he continues to recover from a femoral fracture he suffered against Manchester City all the way back in April of 2022.
Finally we had a bit more of an update from Farke on Dallas’ situation at this moment in time, as Farke revealed this:
“Stuart gets all the time he needs. It’s not possible to speak about days or whatever, we back him, he sees different consultants and try everything to work in the most professional way. Don’t want to put any pressure on him in terms of giving a time frame.”
