Now, Circiumaru’s family are baring their broken hearts and demanding justice.
In an astonishing open letter to the public shared by Hamilton Police, the young man’s family pleads for public assistance.
They describe Circiumaru as “loving, kind, caring and had a good heart.”
The statement reads: “We have no words to express our heartbreak – we can only keep praying for justice. The man who maliciously, with no care for human life, took our son Alexander Lee Circiumaru on 3-6-24 will be brought to justice.
“The individual has no right to be a part of society and to be free. You’re a danger to this world.”

The statement adds: “We want to say how much gratitude we have for the man who was willing to help our son with CPR. We also want to thank the first responders, paramedics, police and anyone who witnessed and was able to give statements.
“Genuinely, thank you all. Those who were willing to allow us to move the vigil in behind the glass. Those who stopped and gave respect at the vigil. The staff at Donald V Brown Funeral Home and the cemetery where Alexander is buried. Anyone who has prayed for us and still do. We are forever grateful.”
His family then asks for anyone who knows anything about the slaying to come forward.
“This is our son. His life was just beginning. Try, just try putting yourself in our shoes. How can anyone take Alexander’s life and the evil, hated way he was gunned down.

“Focus on finding justice. Do not let our son’s name be forgotten. He will forever be in our hearts and missed. We love you to the moon and stars and infinity.”
Meanwhile, cops say they have recovered the black Honda Civic used by the triggerman from the city’s east end. Detectives are now looking at the Civic’s movements around the city before and after the brazen murder.
Circiumaru had been walking on the sidewalk for an appointment in the city’s core. He did not know that his killer was lying in wait.
Then came the fateful moment when the gunman emerged from the car and shot Circiumaru numerous times before getting back in the sedan and fleeing west.
According to detectives, the shooter is a male dressed in black clothing and wearing a face mask. It wasn’t known if cops are looking for accomplices or what the motive may have been.
