Japan Engine Company (J-ENG) has got down to work with compatriot Akasaka Diesels to develop hydrogen and ammonia ship engines. The pair have obtained funding from the Inexperienced Innovation Fund mission by Tokyo-based New Power and Industrial Expertise Growth Group (NEDO).
Japanese transport strains and shipbuilders are among the many world leaders within the improvement of ships and required infrastructure for ammonia and hydrogen.
