Nothing quite captures the feeling of an escape like having a level of one’s home to one’s self.
That elevated sense of privacy is part of what sets the Jake 26 by Jayman Built apart. This 2,267-square-foot single-family model is a new addition to the builder’s portfolio. A show home now seen in Seton marks the first demonstration of this model.

Seton is a mixed-use community in southeast Calgary and home to the city’s newest hospital, the South Health Campus.
The Jake’s upper level comes in two distinct, physically separate parts. Rather than all three bedrooms existing on the same floor, the master is part of split level five stairs up from the secondary bedrooms. It shares this level with a bonus room featuring a vaulted ceiling.
Adding to the privacy of the master is a short walkway between its entrance and the sleep space, itself. That way, one member of a couple can stay up later than the other and watch TV without being concerned about the volume creating a disruption.
An open-to-below foyer can be overlooked from the bonus room.

The 12-foot 11-inch by by 13-foot four-inch master boasts an elegant tray-style ceiling design. Its walk-in closet, positioned directly across the aforementioned walkway from the ensuite, is large enough to function as a dressing room.
The ensuite, generously sized as well, is upscale and bright. There’s a free-standing tub and glass-encased shower along one wall and vanity with two sinks on another. A makeup desk positioned across from the shower shoulders some of the load typically belonging to the vanity.

The kitchen is L-shaped and grand. Long stretches of counter space and central island deliver an abundance of space on which to prepare meals with multiple members of the family and not feel cramped. There’s seating for three people at this island.
A large window over the kitchen sink overlooks the deck. Storage is well-covered through an assortment of cabinets and a walk-through pantry.
The show home has a developed lower level with spaces including a stylish hidden room. There’s the primary rec area with a luxurious wine display and walk-up bar. A tucked-away offshoot connects to a room with seating and a TV mounted above an elongated fireplace surrounded in tile.
