India Will help Saudi

India is making every effort to strengthen relations with its energy supplier Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. Now both the countries have agreed to lay submarine cables to connect their power grids. This has strengthened India’s dream of becoming a green energy hub.

Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was in India on a one-day state visit on Monday after the G-20 summit. On Monday itself, a major progress was seen in the relations between India and Saudi Arabia Under which both the countries will take their relationship beyond oil and increase cooperation in the energy sector. The two countries have agreed to lay a submarine cable to connect their electric grids, renewable energy and green hydrogen grids.

An MoU was signed between India’s Renewable Energy Minister RK Singh and Saudi Renewable Energy Minister Salman Al-Saud on Monday. India can benefit greatly from this. Saudi Arabia is the third largest oil and gas supplier to India. India can benefit greatly from this. Saudi Arabia is the third largest oil and gas supplier to India. India is dependent on Saudi Arabia for oil and gas (LPG). But after this agreement, India’s image can become that of an energy exporting country which will export green energy and hydrogen energy.

Regarding the agreement, the government said in a statement, ‘This MoU will strengthen India’s efforts Under which it is trying to bring changes in the global energy system to combat climate change.

PM Modi’s ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’ vision

This ambitious decision to exchange energy through undersea cable between the two countries is going to be full of technical challenges. According to a report by Times of India, currently 485 undersea cables are working all over the world. The longest sea cable is between Britain and Denmark, whose length is 764 kilometers.

If undersea cable is established between India and Saudi Arabia So this will be the first sea cable to be established under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’ vision. The aim of this vision of the Modi government is to promote green energy across the world.
