India Defeated Pakistan for the 8th time in the World Cup

Defeated for the eighth consecutive time in the ICC ODI World Cup. India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium. Rohit Sharma scored 86 runs and Shreyas Iyer played an unbeaten inning of 53 runs.

India defeated Pakistan for the 8th time in the ODI World Cup. India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium. Batting first, Pakistan had scored 191 runs. India achieved the score in 30.3 overs by losing three wickets.

Condition of Pakistan’s Innings

Pakistan had a good start. The team’s first wicket fell on the score of 41. The second wicket fell on the score of 73. After this there was a partnership of 82 runs between captain Babar Azam and Rizwan.

At one time it seemed that Pakistan would score beyond 300 but Siraj shook this hope by dismissing Babar (50). After that Bumrah destroyed Pakistan’s innings by dismissing Rizwan (49).

After this, no Pakistani batsman could stay on the crease for long. Kuldeep, Jadeja, Hardik made important contributions in wrapping up Pakistan’s innings.

India’s innings

Chasing the target of 192 runs, Rohit Sharma started with a four. Gill also looked in Rohit’s colours, however, he was out on the score of 16. Fours and sixes kept coming out of Rohit’s bat. Rohit played an innings of 86 runs before getting out. Kohli scored 16 runs.

Shreyas Iyer showed patience. Shreyas played an unbeaten inning of 53 runs. KL Rahul scored 19 not out. Shreyas Iyer hit the winning four. India defeated Pakistan for the 8th consecutive time in the ODI World Cup.
