The Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey has found her true prince in real life as her relationship with boyfriend DDG is still going strong.
The Disney star, 23, won hearts over with her emotional performance as Ariel in the blockbuster remake of The Little Mermaid this summer.
But in real life, only one man has her heart with her boyfriend DDG, 26, never too far away from her side.
Halle and DDG have been dating for nearly two years and fans have been gripped by their romance through all the highs and lows, whether they’re serving smitten PDAs or fighting break-up rumours.
Opening up about being in a happy relationship, Halle previously told People magazine: ‘I think the best thing about young love is that you’re able to continue to find yourself through this journey of loving somebody else. And you’re discovering new parts of yourself and maybe things that you didn’t notice before about your heart.’
She added: ‘I feel like things change when love gets more involved in your life. I have definitely discovered more within myself as a woman. …It’s a really cool thing to go through, but a transformative experience.’

March 2022 – Halle and DDG confirm romance
Halle and DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr, were first linked in January 2022 but it was two months before they confirmed they were dating in the rapper’s sweet birthday tribute to the actress.
‘Happy Birthday to the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest love you forever,’ he wrote.
Halle later shared cute videos of her giving him singing lessons, or, at least trying to.
June 2022 – Halle and DDG make first red carpet appearance
That summer, the lovebirds made their first red carpet appearance together at the BET Awards and looked in sync as they both wore all-black outfits.
August 2022 – Halle confirms she’s in love and wants kids
In her Essence magazine cover spread, Halle not only opened up about her romance with the YouTuber but also confirmed she was in love.
When asked if she felt the L-word for DDG, the Chloe x Halle singer replied: ‘Yes. For sure I am.’
She also revealed her plans to have children in the future and said: ‘I want to have like 10 babies and go live on a farm and have a great house. I wanna grow my own food and have an oasis away from the world, where my family and I go and have a great time.’
That same month, Halle appeared in DDG’s music video for If I Want You in which they shared a kiss.
October 2022 – DDG hints at proposal
During an interview with The Breakfast Club, DDG floated the idea that he could propose to Halle.
‘I’ve never been with nobody that’s, like, really motivated me like she do,’ he said, adding that he could see himself popping the question ‘eventually.’

Shortly before the interview, the online personality heaped praise on Halle for landing the coveted lead role in The Little Mermaid, telling People: ‘I’m very proud of her. And I’m just happy to see it.
‘I feel like sometimes I’m even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it’s really dope.’
July 2023 – DDG gets jealous?
DDG caught some heat after he appeared to criticise Halle for kissing co-star Jonah Haeur-King in The Little Mermaid and holding his hand at the red carpet premiere in London.
On his song Famous, he says: ‘Filmin’ a movie now you kissing dudes, you know I love you a lot, I don’t give a f**k if that s**t for promo, I don’t wanna see this s**t no more.
‘Why is y’all holdin’ hands in the photo? You know I’m insecure, that’s a no-no. I keep comin’ back, wanna leave you but I’m too attached.’
Who is DDG?
DDG is best known for his YouTube channel where he boasts 3.25million subscribers.
He bills it as the ‘most lit daily vlog channel on YouTube’ as he posts videos of his day-to-day life on the platform.
Halle often makes an appearance and his most recent upload on October 16 is titled: Annoying My Girlfriend for 24 Hours’ with the thumbnail featuring Halle lying on his lap. Other videos include them enjoying Beyonce’s concert and dazzling the streets of Paris during Fashion Week.
In 2020, DDG started his own record label Zooted Music after signing with Epic Records himself in 2018.
