The Centre on Monday launched the third instalment of tax devolution to states amounting to Rs 1,18,280 crore, as towards regular month-to-month devolution of Rs 59,140 crore.
One advance instalment along with the common instalment due in June 2023 is being launched to states to allow them to hurry up capital spending, finance their growth and welfare associated expenditure and in addition to make obtainable sources for precedence initiatives and schemes, official sources mentioned.
Uttar Pradesh and Bihar obtained the utmost instalment of Rs 21,218 crore and Rs 11,897 crore respectively.
