Georgia’s family are responding to the fan fury during last night’s episode, which featured the first ever PDA Awards which showed clips of what she had been up to.
The reality star was nominated by the public as the ‘snakiest’ contestant and a secret clip between her and Tom was shown.
In the video, she and Tom were seen having a deep and meaningful, where Tom asked her if she would rather be with him or Callum.
She the said it would be him, despite saying something different to Callum.
Other clips also revealed how she had been playing Callum and Toby off against each other.
Fans then took to X/Twitter to vent, calling Georgia a ‘villain’, with one saying: “Man seeing Georgia getting caught in her lies is my highlight of this season.”
“The producers have also had enough of Georgia S it seem,s” another said.
“’You just need to calm down.’ Georgia S is so patronising it’s unreal,” a third wrote.
But following the backlash, Georgia’s family have been forced to ask people to “be kind”.
Posting on Instagram, they wrote: “Love Island is an amazing TV show and we have loved watching this series as much as everybody else.
“The last few episodes have been difficult for us to watch, but what’s far worse is the hate Georgia is receiving online.
“It is a TV show and everyone has their opinions, please remember it’s not real life!.”
They went on: “Sending vile threats and nasty messages and comments is really unacceptable. Trolling is not OK.
“Georgia is a daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend and these hurtful comments will not only devastate her when she leaves the villa but have deeply hurt those around her.
“For the messages of love, support, and kindness we see you and we thank you.”
The reality star’s family also posted another message, which simply read: “There is power in kindness.”
Georgia originally shot to fame on Love island 2018, and suffered a similar backlash following her antics.
She also became known for her catchphrase “I’m loyal, babe”.
