“I’m going to start training by myself in Pakenham in Victoria,” Edmonds said on RadioTAB.
“The plan is Magic Millions day will be our last day in partnership and then I will be a Victorian resident.
“I’m looking forward to that, it’s a new challenge and it’s not something I’ve just thought about overnight.
“I’ve been extremely impressed by Pakenham, it’s an amazing place to train a horse and it’s got everything you need.”

In partnership, the father/son duo won the two biggest races on the Queensland racing calendar with Tyzone taking out the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap in 2020 while Houtzen won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and also took them to Royal Ascot.
They also tackled the third running of the All-Star Mile with cult hero The Harrovian, who would run fifth in the race before returning to finish third behind Eduardo in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000.
