Kruger Station is hosting the “Food and Wine in the Wild” event 7th to 9th August from 15:00 – 18:30, where delectable flavours, exquisite wines from wineries such as Antonij Rupert, Tokara, Rust & Vrede, Donkiesbaai, Holden Manz, and remarkable experiences await.

Fake job advertisements for Kruger Shalati doing the rounds

The Kruger Station is open, and false job offers seem to be doing the rounds.

An exclusive 3-course dinner will be hosted in the historic Carriage No. 7 on the 8th August at 18:00-18:30. Booking is essential due to limited space.

Prepare your taste buds for an adventure like no other as Kruger Station opens its doors to exceptional South African wines and a feast of delectable internationally-inspired cuisine.

With a ticket priced at only R95 per person, you gain access to all wineries on show, receive a complimentary glass, and indulge in a free small serving from our delightful selection of mouthwatering dishes. After that, you can savour additional small dishes for only R35 per serving, allowing you to explore a variety of culinary delights.

Kruger Station, a beloved top attraction within the Kruger National Park, has a rich history and captivating stories. Home to the legendary steam locomotive No. 3638, affectionately known as ‘Skukuza,’ it showcases the last train that travelled through the park.

Step back in time as you discover these meticulously refurbished carriages. Of particular interest is the lounge carriage, numbered 7, which has a fascinating journey. Initially serving as a suburban coach in 1942, it was later transformed into a funeral coach, transporting the remains of notable figures. In 1950, it carried the last remains of General J. C. Smuts, and in 1967, it played a vital role in the State Funeral of the Hon. J. G. Strydom. Embrace this opportunity to witness living history firsthand and immerse yourself in the nostalgic ambience of Kruger Station.

Beyond the remarkable culinary experiences, Kruger Station offers many activities to enjoy. Indulge in a family-friendly dining experience at the 3638 Restaurant, where our talented culinary team will delight your taste buds. Why not try unique creations such as Kudu Bobotie, Warthog Pizza, and Crocodile Schnitzel –a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

Unwind and enjoy a perfectly crafted beverage at the fully-serviced Round in 9 Bar while soaking in the captivating atmosphere. Treat yourself to a tempting soft-serve ice cream or savour a fragrant cup of coffee at the Departing Soon Café, where indulgence knows no bounds. For a quick and tasty bite, head to En Route Grab’ N Go, offering a range of delectable options.

Little ones will find their haven at Li’l Gricers, a safe and engaging space to enjoy their adventures. Indulge in retail therapy at Curiosity and Cabin, where you’ll find a treasure trove of unique gifts and trinkets. And to top it all off, discover the immersive wonders of our 360° Cinema, where you can embark on captivating cinematic journeys.

Food & Wine in the Wild at Kruger Station promises an unforgettable experience where delectable flavours, exceptional wines, and remarkable history come together. Join us from August 7th to 9th for a culinary journey like no other. To secure your tickets or inquire further, please get in touch with them at 013 591 6000 or email [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the Skukuza Marathon on August 5th and the day of the event at the doors.
