Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s challenge to the Prime Minister in Question Time to go to Israel during his US trip was a “real surprise”, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“He had a radio interview today and he didn’t ask a question about it in Question Time,” Mr Clennell said.
“He could have used any of those forums but he just casually drops it in there and puts the PM on the spot.
“I’m not sure Benjamin Netanyahu needs the Australian Prime Minister in Israel at the moment to be honest … Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak – a bit different.
“But Dutton able to point out there that Netanyahu hasn’t even called the PM back – you’d assume the PM’s tried him.”
