It is likely that most children experience some mild anxiety about going back to school. For some, it might be the return to tighter schedules with less freedom, the drudge of homework, early starts, new classmates, or the academic expectations of their teachers or parents that they are not looking forward to. For others though, that anxiety might be closer to dread.
