An altercation between a group of people in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar claimed the lives of two men and injured another severely on Monday.
The three men, identified as Raghu, Zakir, and Bhura, came to Ashok Vihar to meet another man named Dablu when an altercation broke out over a minor disagreement.
As per an India Today report, while looking for Dablu in the area, the men inquired about him from a man, who replied, “Don’t say Dablu, call him Dablu bhai”. Following this, the men got into an argument and as soon as Dablu came out of his house, the argument escalated into violence.
After the fight, one of the men, Raghu succumbed to his injuries on the spot. However, two of his friends – Zakir and Bhura – ran away from the spot. The associates of Dablu chased the two and stabbed Bhura to death while Zakir managed to escape them. He was later arrested by the Delhi Police.
The police are investigating the case and are currently in search of the accomplices of Dablu who were involved in the killing of the two men. However, Dablu is currently admitted to a hospital and his treatment is currently underway.
In other news, a 25-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and bludgeoned to death with a slab by three people in the early hours of October 4 in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area. The police said that the victim, identified as Deepak was a resident of Shiv Vihar in Karawal Nagar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey said that the incident occurred around 2 am near the Ramlila ground in the area where Deepak, who was on a motorcycle, was intercepted by the assailants.
A case of murder was registered, police said, adding that further investigation was underway. The officials also said that the CCTV footage showed the trio stabbed Deepak multiple times and crushed his head with the slab.
The victim was rushed to the GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead, the DCP added.
