The complainant further claimed that the professor asked her to come to the department alone on the pretext of teaching her how to write answers for the exam. He also told her that he will check the exam papers and take care of the marks.
A case under IPC section 354A (sexual harassment) and 509 (intending to insult the modesty of a woman) was lodged with police on February 22.
According to a senior official from the medical college, the matter is under investigation and they are cooperating with the police. He added that an internal inquiry panel of the college is also probing the matter.
